We invite you to bring your indoor shoes and your smile and come have some fun with us. We hold Masters degrees in Education and have over 20 years of teaching, dance and and performance experience! As an added bonus:
· Our approach is fun and person-centred
· We DJ Fiestas at the Wheelhouse Whitehorse once a month, social dances & private parties for you to practice
· We encourage switching partners to promote communication & further learning
· We open our classes to couples or singles
· (We do private lessons and DJ & teach private parties upon request)

Friday Evenings

Beginner Salsa on 1 and Beginner Bachata
Cost: $140 for 7 classes
Start your Friday night party with this class! Our students repeatedly say this Friday night class helps them put their week behind them and energizes them for the weekend ahead! Get ready to be transformed from nervous beginner to capable dancer in just 7 weeks! The secret, our warm, personable and supportive family atmosphere! Your class becomes a little family you can take dancing all over town! This class includes a warm-up that will get you pumped and ready for Salsa basics such as the basic, the rock step, the cross-body lead, and fun basic turn patterns with hand positions, hip movement, how to lead, dance etiquette and more! You can expect to de-stress, have clear and easy to follow instruction, laugh and meet new friends! And best of all, no partner required because we switch often and you will get to dance with everyone in the class! Warning this class is addictive!
Bachata was born in the 1960′s and 1970′s in the Dominican Republic. It is danced to the slower, ballad-like Latin songs. Like Salsa, Bachata has an 8-count basic, but instead of moving back and forth like Salsa, Bachata moves from side to side. Additionally, partners tend to dance much closer to one another in Bachata. The basic is a side-together-side action and a hip roll and/or lift.. It will be fun to learn the basics because Bachata is building as the most popular social dance all over the world right now, so be part of the latest and hottest club trend!

Intermediate Salsa and Bachata
Cost: $140 for 7 classes
Put your sexy on! This sassy class will transform students into impressive Salsa and Bachata dancers. The class is made up of intermediate patterns introduced and repeated the following class as a review. Students start with a warm-up that teaches spins, footwork, and hip movement. More intricate steps, different hand positions, and specific turn patterns are the focus in partner-work, where students rotate to dance with each other. Emphasis is placed solidifying leader and follower roles, on hip-movement and smooth body movements and transitions, which characterize these dances. This dance class is essential for becoming a well-rounded Latin dancer, and to get you ready to step onto any Latin Dance floor with ease, knowing you’re ready to get close and sexy when the music comes on!
If you have taken have taken this class before, you will solidify what you know and learn sultry new moves AND learn to use your body in ways you never imagined you could!
Pre-requisite: Beginner Salsa on 1 and beginner Bachata and a positive & polite attitude
Save $50 per person if you register for two classes!
